To perform low temperature experiments we have several cryo-facilities ranging from something as simple and quick as the Janus SuperTran-VP continuous flow-through cryostat with a variable temperature range from 1.4 K to room temperature to our Oxford Instruments Kelvinox top-loading dilution refrigerator with base temperature of 8.5 mK and cooling power of 250 micro-watts. Other systems at our disposal include an Oxford Instruments He3 cryostat, capable of quickly reaching 300 mK, another smaller Oxford Instruments dilution refridgerator with a base temperature of 25 mK and cooling power of 25 micro-watts, and three glass He4 dewars with LN2 shields for easy use of homemade cryostat inserts (of which we have over a dozen). Each of the instruments mentioned above (except the Janus flow-through cryostat) are run in one of our two rf shielded rooms. We have dedicated computers running LabView near each setup for the purpose of taking data while using any of the above instruments.
